Seven investment projects are being implemented in Istaravshan

During the reporting period in accordance with various sectors of the economy of Istaravshan the implementation of investment projects on seven public investment projects is being implemented, including:

Project “Rehabilitation of water supply systems in northern cities of Tajikistan (Phase 2)”:
Within the framework of this project in the direction of “Rehabilitation of water supply networks of Istaravshan district” works on installation of 10710 meters of polyethylene pipes of different diameters are being carried out and the remaining works are being continued at the facility.

In all, 1.3 million somoni have been spent since the start of the project in Istaravshan. USD were disbursed.

Agricultural Commercialization Project:
As part of Part II.A of this project, 565 residents of the district have been provided with micro-soft loans for the development of agriculture in the total amount of 1.36 mln. USD.

Also in parts I, II (B) and III of the project in the district for 3 groups of farmers in accordance with 7 training modules seminars and consultations on the implementation of the value chain of apples, pears and lemons were held for groups selected under the grant program. were funded in the amount of 25.2 thousand dollars.

The total amount of disbursed under this project in the city is 1.4 million somoni. USD.

Project “Climate change adaptation and mitigation program in the Aral Sea Basin”:
Under this project, 809 residents of the city received microloans for the implementation of subprojects aimed at implementing practical methods and technologies aimed at increasing resilience to climate change, reducing and reducing risks, as well as achieving economic and social benefits. for a total amount of 1.37 mln. USD.

Project “Introduction of wholesale electricity supply accounting and improvement of power transmission system”:
As part of Lot 1 of the project, it is planned to import and install voltage transformers, current transformers and electricity meters in 5 substations in the city, which are currently completing the installation of voltage transformers, current transformers. Also the replacement of electricity meters is being continued in the substations.

In general, 95.5 thousand US dollars have been disbursed since the beginning of the project in the city.

Project “Strengthening vocational education and training”
In the framework of this project, in February 2019, the repair and restoration of the building of the State Institution “Vocational Technical Lyceum of Istaravshan” began and is currently underway.

So far, 90.2 thousand US dollars have been disbursed at this facility.

Higher Education Development Project:
As part of the first phase of sub-section 1.1 (Small Grants) of the project, the College of Folk Crafts of Istaravshan was paid 16.3 thousand US dollars for the organization and conduct of vocational training courses.

Project “Construction and equipping of schools, phase 4”:
Reconstruction of educational institution корҳои5 in Sufi Orifi village of Istaravshan city is being carried out within the framework of this project, the amount of which according to the contract is 296.5 thousand dollars.

So far, 76.4 thousand US dollars have been disbursed under the project in Istaravshan.

The total amount disbursed under these public investment projects is 4.35 million somoni. It is under the direct control of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
