The agricultural community Sabriston is located in a northwest part of Istaravshan and has the total area of 151.2 sq.km that makes 22.2% of the total urban area. Extent from the West to the east – 11.6 km, from the North to the south – 23 km. Istaravshan, in the north with the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the West with the village of Nidzhoni Dzhamoat “Nidzhoni” is located to the East and the northeast of the village of “Zarchalol”, in the south with Istaravshan and the village “Babble Surkh”.
17562 persons from whom 986 individual Dehkan farms manage 2 industrial enterprises, 23 various service centers, 3 schools and 3 medical centers live in 3 settlements.
Density of population is 190 people on sq.km. Resources of labor power there is a lot of.
Short history of jamia
The Soviet village council of Frunze which included the villages of Rugund, Vogat, Yakkatol, Vogat, Dzharkurgan and Lakat is created in 1918.
The village of Nizhzhoni joined the Frunze village council. The village of Nizhzhoni was removed from the Soviet village of Frunze later and replaced by Yakatol. Now the territory of jamia consists of the villages of Rugund, Vogat and Yakatol.
After finding of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in 1994 according to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “About Self-government Institutions of the Cities and Villages” the Soviet Union Frunze was transformed to the “Frunze” agricultural community.
“About renaming of the cities, settlements and villages of the Sughd region” the jamia of Frunze was renamed by Madzhlisi Millie’s decision of Majlisi Oly of the Republic of Tajikistan of March 29, 2012 No. 305 into Sabriston.
Labor migration
In recent years 5-7% and 10-11% of able-bodied population migrate in the winter in the winter, and 2-3% from them make women. Labor migration is an important source of income for families of migrants.

The economy of jamia is an agricultural sector: 40% of able-bodied population (3661 persons) are engaged in 986 farms generally busy in cultivation grain, gardening, wine growing, vegetable growing, silkworm breeding, beekeeping, livestock production and poultry farming. Now there are 1375 Dehkan farms.
The total area of lands of jamia is 5020.44 hectares of agricultural holdings (2308.06 hectares (45.96%) of water).
Cropland is 2054.7 hectares, vineyards – 846 hectares, and gardens – 88 hectares.
Education.
The number of children of preschool age makes 4,427 people. In jamia there are 3 high schools which provide training for 2016-2017 academic year. In 2016-2017 academic year at schools 3418 pupils will study.
Infrastructure.
Now there are 2 libraries, 2 recreation centers, 8 tea, 2 bathrooms, 1 bathroom, 3 mosques and 1 modern stadium.
Form of government.
The local government authority – jamia consists of 21 deputies who are elected city and rural voters.
Council of jamia consists of 7 deputies who work at least once a month. At it there will be its chairmen, one deputy, the secretary, the representative of the local sector, the agricultural industry, education and health care. Council of jamia, commission and executive body of jamia were created by Assembly of jamia.
The building of jamia was built in 2010 in the village of Rugund. In jamia of 10 government employees and 3 technical employees, only 13 people. In jamia 1 computer. The community is provided with trucks UAZ, but it is in the bad working condition.
The following permanent commissions were created and function at the moment:
The permanent commission on economic development and the budget as a part of 5 people;
Standing committee on legality, protection of the state and public order as a part of 5 people;
Permanent agricultural commission as a part of 5 people;
Permanent Commission on Education, to culture, health care, affairs of youth, sport and travel as a part of 5 people;
The permanent commission on regulation of traditions and ceremonies as a part of 5 people.
