Spring sowing process in Istaravshan city
In all agricultural structures of the city there are 53,335 hectares of agricultural land, of which 24,122 hectares are arable land.
This year, according to the plan, spring sowing of crops has been carried out on the area of 18151.7 ha, including 13054.7 ha of cereals, 185 ha of technical crops, 1900 ha of potatoes, 1849 ha of vegetables, 400 ha of melons, 1 ha of seeds and vegetables. 1710 ha of fodder crops.
This year, farmers have plowed 24,150 hectares of land for spring sowing on favorable terms, which is 100.1% of the plan.
As of April 23, 2020, 15,748 hectares of spring crops have been sown in these areas, which is 86.8% of the plan. Including grain – 12705 ha, corn for grain – 150 ha, oilseeds – 222 ha, potatoes – 550 ha, vegetables – 1624 ha and 642 ha of fodder crops, spring sowing is underway.
In 2020, according to the forecast of the structure of agricultural crops, 1,900 hectares of potatoes in agricultural farms and 785 hectares in private farms are planned by the Main Department of Agriculture of the region until April 23, according to the jamoats.
