May 12 is known in Tajikistan as Shashmaqom Day. In this regard, today the artists of the ensemble “Shashmaqom” of Istaravshan under the direction of Sharifjon Sanginov performed songs and music of the highest Tajik art.
Shashmaqom is one of the arts of the Tajik nation, which in 2000 was included in the list of the oldest styles of music and intangible assets of UNESCO.
Artists of the ensemble “Shashmaqom” of the cultural department of the Executive Authority of Istaravshan Ehromi Bobojon, Lutfullo Hojimurodov, Khurshed Abdurahmonov and Sharifjon Sanginov performed “Dugoh”, “Kashkarchai savti navo”, “Chapandozi iraqi bukhoro” and other songs of Sh. gave.
The music of “Shashmaqom” is a world of endless sounds and melodies, created by our ancestors over the centuries and performed by hundreds of original artists with great inspiration.
