The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan announced the closure of the websites www.akhbor.com or “Akhbor.com” (“Akhbor.com”) and “nahzat.ru” (“nahzat.ru”) in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and a ban on the import and distribution of audio recordings. videos, newspapers, literature and leaflets on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan with an application to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As NIAT “Khovar” was reported at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan, the application was submitted in order to ensure the protection of the constitutional order, state security of the Republic of Tajikistan and the legal rights and interests of citizens, prevention of terrorist and extremist activities.
The application of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan was considered in the Supreme Court and was satisfied by the decision of the Supreme Court of February 18, 2020.
Based on the decision of the Supreme Court, the websites www.akhbor.com or “Akhbor.com” (“Akhbor.com”) and “nahzat.ru” (“nahzat.ru”), which are linked to the terrorist-extremist organization “Islamic Revival Party” , “National Pact of Tajikistan” and other extremist and terrorist organizations are closed and the import and distribution of audio recordings, videos, newspapers and literature and their leaflets on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan is prohibited.
