Visit of the Ambassador of India to Istaravshan

According to the plan of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Tajikistan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Tajikistan Mr. Viraj Singh will pay a working visit to Istaravshan, Khujand and Konibodom from 16 to 19 March.
On March 16, Mr. Viraj Singh and Dr. Abdul Sami visited Istaravshan.
At the entrance to the city, a group of delegations led by the Deputy Mayor of Istaravshan welcomed the guests
Nigora Naimjonzoda was traditionally greeted with bread and honey and the sound of trumpets.
Then the presentation of the book by Saidumar Sultani Kavkabi “Comparison of the story” Comedy and Madan “by Haji Hussain Kangurti with the story of the same name Bedil” was held in the hall of the city.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe. Istaravshan Nigora Naimjonzoda opened the meeting and gave the floor to Viraj Singh. Speaking about the political, economic, trade and cultural relations between the two countries, the Ambassador noted that he had long dreamed of meeting with the people of ancient Istaravshan, and now he has such an opportunity.
Afterwards, Master Saidumari Sultan spoke about his research work, including the book “Comparison of the story” Comedy and Madan “by Haji Hussain Kangurti with the story of the same name Bedil”
informed that he has many more creative plans in this direction.
Then professors of Khujand universities, researchers Saidumron Saidov and Sodirkhon Umarov spoke about the literary circle of Istaravshan, its relations with other literary circles, the history and culture of this ancient city and the research work of the scientist Saidumari Sulton.
Hoji Rahmat Kadyrov from the city of Isfara shared his thoughts on his collaboration with Saidumar Sultan in the study of the works of the poet Saifi Isfarangi.
Poet Ranoi Zoirdukht also spoke about the creative work of master Saidumari Sultan and his contribution to the education of young writers of Istaravshan.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Tajikistan, Mr. Viraj Singh, outlined the plans of the Embassy of India in Tajikistan at the request of researchers. In particular, he said that a special program has been developed for the development and publication of books on friendly relations and joint culture of the two countries, as well as to assist Tajik researchers in the use of large libraries in Indian cities.

In conclusion, Ustad Saidumari Sulton thanked the organizers and the audience for the appreciation and organization of such an event.
During the trip, the guests visited the Istaravshan People’s College and the historical site of Qalai Mugh.
