Navruz holiday in Istaravshan

Navruz is one of the oldest holidays in the world and was celebrated thousands of years ago.
The celebration of Navruz is connected with the day and night equinox and the origin of the solar calendar, which existed among the peoples of Central Asia seven thousand years ago.
In accordance with the action plan of the local government of Istaravshan, in honor of Navruz, a number of facilities were commissioned, veterans and people with disabilities were visited.
Acting chairman of the city Amirkhon Qurbonzoda, Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan Davron Hashimzoda and representative of the local government of Sughd region Isomatdinzoda Saidamin presented 12 veterans with Navruz gifts in the hall.

In the village “Balgari” with the participation of the acting chairman of the city Amirkhon Qurbonzoda, Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan Davron Hashimzoda and a representative of the local executive body of Sughd region Isomatdinzoda Saidamin a gym was put into operation. Then a festive event was held in the central stadium of the city. At the entrance to the stadium, the acting mayor Amirkhon Qurbonzoda with the guests visited the achievements of urban and rural artisans, lyceums and colleges, the handicrafts of skilled cooks and students of educational institutions of the city.

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan Davron Hashimzoda also congratulated the audience and noted that the new year begins on March 20 and 21 on the day of the equinox, which is the real spring. From this day begins the agricultural season, a time of expectations and hopes of farmers.
The representative of Sughd region Isomatdinzoda Saidamin read out the congratulations of the chairman of Sughd region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda and wished the proud people of Istaravshan good health and clear sky.
