On January 8, 2020, an active meeting of the city chairman, Amirkhon Kurbonzoda, on the results of socio-economic development of the city in 2019 was held. It was attended by the representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan – Ashurzoda Abdulhafiz Abdu and the representative of the RCC, the head of the Department of Education of Sughd region Asim Qosim.
The first deputy mayor of the city Abdusattor Qodiriy summed up the results of economic and social development of the city in 2019, noting that in 2019 the executive body of the city in cooperation with the organizations, enterprises and taking effective measures for the intensive development of various sectors of the national economy. succeeded.
In Istaravshan, plan of local budget revenues for 100% was fulfilled last year. In the reporting period there were four types of tax: income tax, personal income tax, excise tax and road user tax.
During the reporting period the volume of GDP reached 1 billion 734 million 842 thousand somoni and its growth rate in comparison with the same period of the last year made 110,4%.
The volume of industrial production by the enterprises of the city has made 529 million 167,7 thousand somoni and its growth rate in comparison with the similar period of the last year made 21,9%.
However, there were 7 types of products (production of flour, sand and stone, polyethylene thread, footwear, gypsum, production of reinforced concrete slabs).
It should be noted that 820 new jobs were created at the industrial enterprises of the city due to commissioning of the facility and increasing the production and service potential. In order to achieve the fourth strategic goal of the Government and to strengthen the development of the urban industry, we need to take regular measures and implement practical measures aimed at increasing production and commissioning of idle industrial enterprises.
It should be noted that only in the last three years in accordance with the plan of beautification and creative works on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the cities and villages of Istaravshan 12.2 km of roads and villages. have been renovated.
During the reporting period, the population of the city was provided with drinking water at the amount of 4 million 431 thousand somoni, its collection is 101%. Last year, farmers also worked hard and achieved good results. The growth rate of agricultural production during this period has been provided by 106%.
According to the plan developed by the city LSG until the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, 7 educational institutions with 3200 sitting places, 17 industrial enterprises with the creation of more than 250 jobs, 19 barber’s houses and cozy houses, 14 high-rise buildings. is intended.
In the course of the meeting Amirkhan Kurbonzoda analyzed the results of the national economy and gave specific instructions to responsible persons to address existing shortcomings.
