At about 00.10 a.m., residents of Khoja Alo village threw stones at Kyrgyz vehicles.

Representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs of Isfara and the Department of Internal Affairs of the Batken region timely arrived at the scene and watched the situation.

At approximately 02.00 a.m. on January 10, 2020, residents of the village of Koktosh in the village of Oksoi opened fire using firearms and hunting weapons. The incident was stopped at about 2:30 am, with interference from police and border guards on both sides.

However, at about 04 a.m., a Kyrgyz man was shot in the car in the car of an employee of the Department of Internal Affairs of Isfara Ikromzoda Ikromzoda using a hunting bow. Fortunately, the bullet hit the car door and no injuries were reported.

The shooting is now over and the situation is under control. A joint investigative group of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan’s law enforcement agencies is working to determine the causes and motives of the perpetrators and their identity.

It is a matter of concern that in recent years individual citizens of Kyrgyzstan have a tendency to use hunting bow and pose a serious threat to the life and health of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan. Therefore, the Tajik side declares that, in case of duplication of these cases, all responsibility will be with the relevant authorities of the neighboring country.
